Posted on 12th October, 2026
New CIDB Requirement
Following CIDB Pekeliling Bil. 1/2026, MS ISO 37001 Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS) certification will be required for CIDB Grade G7 contractors in relation to SPKK applications and renewals, effective 1 January 2027.
This requirement applies to relevant existing G7 contractors and companies applying for or upgrading to Grade G7, subject to applicable CIDB requirements.
What Does This Mean for Your Business?
ISO 37001 provides a structured framework to help organisations prevent, detect and respond to bribery risks while strengthening anti-bribery practices and corporate integrity.
G7 contractors should consider this requirement when planning their upcoming SPKK applications or renewals.
Why Start Preparing Now?
Organisations must establish and implement an Anti-Bribery Management System before obtaining ISO 37001 certification.
Starting early allows your organisation to:
Prepare ahead of the requirement.
Avoid last-minute pressure before SPKK applications or renewals.
Strengthen internal anti-bribery controls.
Demonstrate a commitment to integrity and good governance.
Stay prepared for government procurement opportunities.
